About Us

Welcome to the research group of Prof. Huigang Zhang at Nanjing University. Prof. Zhang received his B.S. degree from Northwest University in 1998, his M.S. degree from China Petroleum University in 2001, and his Ph.D degree from Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2006. Following a post-doctoral research with Prof. Paul Braun in the Department of Material Sciences and Engineering at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he joined Xerion Advanced Battery Corp., which is a startup based on a patent which Prof. Paul Braun and he filed in 2009. In 2014, he received the award of "1000 youth talent program" and joined Nanjing University. Prof. Zhang has a broad research interest involving nanosynthesis, electrochemistry, biomaterials, energy conversion and storage, photonics, metallurgy, process enegineering design and control.

In 2014, Prof. Zhang's group was started in Nanjing University. Now, his group focuses on the scientific research in the fields of energy materials chemistry, inorganic self-assembly, electronic materials and photonics. The newly-formed group is seeking research scientists, postdoctors, and graduates. Please refer to JOINUS link.
